Our Favorite Rechargeable and Cordless Table Lamps

While the days may be getting longer, we are still in the thick of cozy season, and are dedicated to keeping “the big light” off. Ambient lighting has been a staple of our design here in Maine and we wanted to add a few lamps to the scene. While cordless rechargeable table lamps are popping up everywhere, we had the crazy idea to order all of our favorites and test them out (so that you didn’t have to!).

Beyond the visual comfort of soft warm lamp light, the wireless component is very handy. You don’t have to rely on a nearby outlet - or electricity at all - as we consistently lose power here in Maine for hours at a time. It’s even cooler that most of these lamps claim to be for indoor and outdoor use - so we can bring them out with us in the warmer months!

Our criteria for a good lamp is nice light quality, decent battery life, and USB C charging. So, in no particular order, here is our wireless lamp review…

Our favorite lamp in the bunch, this little guy looks cool and will go well with anything. The lamp feels well made, the light quality is good, AND it was the longest running lamp in our test (by far). A cool feature about this cute lamp, is that you could actually charge your devices from it - which is great for power outages. We will be keeping this one out on the book shelf…or maybe in the shower? (it’s waterproof!)

This modern, mushroom-style lamp goes really well with our Maine Living Room and is probably the second favorite on the list. It also feels very portible and is rated for inside/outside . The light quality and dimming are great and the battery last for a long time. This one also serves as a battery pack to charge your phone!

This lamp was one of the more petite styles, with a traditionally shaped shade and a cool, industrial-type base. Funny enough, ours arrived damaged but we have an exchange in progress because it’s probably the prettiest of the bunch. We reallly like how it looks but didn’t have the opportunity to do a real test.

The funky shape of this lamp immediately caught our attention. It looks like this lamp is wearing a very small hat! When it arrived we were immediately drawn to its power coated finish and low profile. It doesn’t scream at you, and it casts great light. This is a PERFECT option for downlight on tables - it’s pictured here on our coffee table, and it’s great. Highly recommend.

This lamp is the perfect mix of tchotchke and light source. It’s the smallest of the bunch, but possibly has the most character. Unfortunately, we dropped it and she was never quite the same. It wouldn’t start for our test, and its magnet popped, we still kinda love it though. I would get this lamp as a novelty but keep your expectations low.

On the pricier side of the round-up at $59, this lamp stands out in terms of quality with its glass shade and metal base. It feels like a solid and well made lamp. It’s also very bright which might explain why it died the fastest in our test. If you are going for a statement piece that casts more light, this lamp is for you.

This lamp is industrial and feels really good in your hand. While it may be harder to use this lamp for something like reading, you can definitely use it to set the vibe. This lamp would be great outdoors and we can’t wait to use it out on the deck this summer.

This lamp was pretty cool, - it’s another one that is more suited to light a table, and it does a great job at it. The battery life was decent and the light quality good. We are going to put this lamp in the “perfectly functional” category.
